CIFOR is collaborating with numerous organizations, institutions and universities in pooling tree inventories into one enormous data set. Analyses have so far revealed relationships that could influence global decisions and predictions, from where to focus biodiversity conservation to how climate change will affect forest biomass storage.
This year:
- 50 plots in Asia have been added to the network.
- 55 plots in Central Africa have been re-assessed.
